William "Bear" Corston, passed away peacefully on 13 Dec 2020. Born on Oct 31, 1940 in Jacksonville Fl to William J. Corston and Marie O'Berry (nee' Mount). He lived in Brooklyn NY as a child, later attending the DeBerry Military Academy in Tennessee before moving to Easton PA where he attended Easton High School. A beloved brother and Uncle, "Bear" served his country as a US Marine from 1960 to 1964 then later as a Merchant Marine in Southeast Asia. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion having held several positions at Post 724 in Wind Gap, including Vice Commander and Commander. He worked as a home builder in Texas and Tennessee before returning to Pennsylvania where he worked at Hideaway Hills Golf Course as a groundskeeper and mechanic before retiring in 2008. A longtime resident of Saylorsburg, PA, he was preceded in death by his parents, sister Vivian, and brother Kevin and is survived by his sister Dolores C. Tyndale of Wind Gap and several nieces and nephews. A memorial will be held at a later date in his Honor. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign.
