William Anthony Cohen

William Anthony Cohen May 3, 1919 – May 12, 2020 William Anthony Cohen, of Henryville, passed away May 12, 2020 at Pleasant Valley Manor Nursing Home in Stroudsburg Pa. William had just celebrated his 101 birthday. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Victoria Patricia Cohen. Born in New York, NY on May 3, 1919, He became a longshoreman and working on the docks in New York after returning from WWII. He moved to the Pocono Mountains with his Granddaughter Jennifer Sapienza and her husband Joseph Sapienza and their children in 1998. He found great joy living with his great grandchildren Joseph, Nicholas, and Alec Sapienza. He was a diehard Yankees and Giant fan and loved being with his dogs. He is survived by his sons William Cohen and his wife Fran of Marietta, Georgia, Edward Cohen and his wife Deborah of Altamonte Springs, Fl, and his daughter Victoria DelPriore, Winter Park, Fl. Grandchildren Jennifer Sapienza, Marianne Farrington, Martin DelPriore, Nicole Barger, Scott Cohen, Amanda Cooper, William Cohen, Jr., Catherine Paulsen. He is also had the joy of having twenty-one Great Grandchildren. Services and burial at St. Johns Cemetery in Queens, NY will be held at a future date.
