Wendy Anne McDonough

Wendy Anne McDonough, born on September 24, 1957, peacefully passed away on May 18, 2025. She lived a life marked by love, warmth, and an easygoing spirit that endeared her to many. Wendy dedicated her professional journey to serving as a receptionist at the theater, where her friendly demeanor welcomed countless patrons.

A proud graduate of the class of 1976 of Livingston High School. Wendy carried the cheerful spirit of her youth into her everyday life. She had a profound love for the outdoors, often finding joy in nature's embrace. Her passion for life's simple pleasures was reflected in her hobbies, including shopping, visiting the casino, and enjoying games of bingo. Wendy also had an affinity for meticulous grooming, relishing moments spent getting her hair and nails beautifully done. Those who knew her will fondly remember her adoration for her beloved family dogs and cats, which brought immeasurable joy to her heart.

Wendy is survived by her cherished daughters, Jennifer Michelle McDonough and Kimberly Anne McDonough. She is also remembered by her sisters, Robin Manna and her husband John, and Ilene Scarchilli, as well as her step-mother, Phyllis Schuster. Wendy shared her life with her significant other, Thomas McNamara Smith, who provided companionship through the years.

Wendy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph McDonough, her father, Stanley Schuster, and her mother, Barbara (Gotlliffe) Schuster.A memorial service to honor her memory will be held at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg, PA, on May 23, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM and concluding at 9:00 PM.
