Wayne Thomas Reeves, 77, of Stroudsburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Manor, Hamilton Township. Born May 27, 1943 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the son of the late Harry A. and Constantina (Koback) Reeves. He was a resident of Stroudsburg for a short while and primarily lived in Linden, Belvidere, and Phillipsburg, New Jersey. He received a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Thomas Edison State University in New Jersey. Wayne worked as a correction officer for the State of New Jersey. He also worked as a security guard at both Crayola and the Warren Hospital and as a drug and alcohol counselor in Ithaca, New York. Wayne’s hobbies & interests included: celebrating Polish heritage, culture, and food, dining on seafood, watching sports, traveling to Massachusetts to visit family, vacationing in Maine, trips to NYC to enjoy Broadway plays, listening to Motown and gospel music, attending church at the Emmanuel Christian Center Church in Phillipsburg NJ, and spending time with family and friends. Wayne is survived by his daughter Tamar C. and her husband Luke of Stroudsburg; his grandchildren Berlin, Mason, and Saige; his sister Jo Anne, his nephews Brian and Greg, nieces Lucy, Lori and Leslie. He was predeceased by his brother Harry “Robin” Reeves. Graveside funeral services will be held privately for immediate family and friends in New Jersey.
