Vivian Louise Richardson

Vivian Louise Richardson, 94, of Dallas, PA, passed away on Wednesday November 2, 2022, at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. She was the loving wife of Wallace “Wally” Richardson, they were married on June 18, 1955.

Born March 25, 1928, in Lakewood, New Jersey the daughter of the late_ Clarence Fitzgerald Wilson and Florence Adlina Deshields Wilson

Vivian attended Brooklyn College to become a journalism major but decided to enroll into the Lincoln School of Nursing, where she graduated as a registered nurse in 1955. She then went on to have a successful career in Nursing.

In 1991 Vivian and her husband moved to East Stroudsburg where they lived until 2014, While living there she attended the East Stroudsburg Presbyterian Church and became active in the “Women’s Circle” Vivian also worked as a volunteer nurse for ten years with the Stroudsburg Red Cross. In January 2015 they moved into the Masonic Village Retirement Community in Dallas. While in Dallas, she attended St Paul’s Lutheran Church.

In addition to her husband, Vivian is survived by her son Jayson F. Richardson and his wife Melissa of Henrietta NY

She is also survived by her granddaughters Jazmin René. and Déja Nichole.

There will be a viewing on Monday November 7, 2022 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg.

Graveside Funeral services will follow at 1:00pm in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg with Pastor Vogel officiating.
