Timothy Peters

Timothy Peters, 53, of Effort, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the
St Luke’s Hospital, Bartonsville. He was the husband of Theresa L (Bachman)
Peters; they were married on August 28, 2004.
Born August 30, 1972, in East Stroudsburg, the son of the late Sherwood L
Peters and Alice M (Miller) Peters. He was a resident of Monroe County for most
of his lifetime and was a Graduate of Pleasant Valley High School.
He liked working on cars and was a fan of NASCAR and WWE wrestling. He had
a big heart and cared in a way no one else could. He greatly loved his daughter;
she was his miracle child born with a rare diagnosis. He was always by his wife's
side and cared deeply for her. He loved watching Back To The Future,
Superman, and Knight Rider.
In addition, his wife, Tim, is survived by his stepson Jacob Peters, his daughter
Alexis Peters, and his step-grandchildren Chance, Casper, and Cora.
He is also survived by his siblings, Howard Peters, Aaron Peters, Michael Peters,
Terry Peters, Patricia Reaser, Kathy Crowley, Shirley Warner, Marge Gerhart,
and Sharon Rinehart; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and
nephews.
He was predeceased by his 2 brothers, Sherwood “Tom” Peters and Eddie
Peters.
Memorial celebration will be held on Saturday March 7th at 11am at the
Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 N 5th St, Stroudsburg, PA 18360
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the
