Telmo Gomes

Telmo Gomes, 61, of Tobyhanna, passed away on Friday July 16, 2021 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono. He was the husband of Gloria (Sousa) Gomes, they were married on May 30, 1980. Born March 18, 1960 in Cacia, Portugal, the son of the late Jose F. Gomes and Idalina (Sousa) Gomes. He was a resident of Monroe County since 1990. Telmo was a Husband, a Father, a Grandfather, a Brother and a Friend. Telmo was very kindhearted, he shared much love with his loved ones and he always made them laugh. Traveling and cooking were some of his favorite hobbies that he enjoyed doing with his family. He will be dearly missed. In addition to his wife Gloria, Telmo is survived by his daughter Raquel and her husband Edwin. His only son Jason and his daughters Bethany and Vanessa, and her fiancée Mark, his grandkids; Nadia, Julia, Gabriel, Jonah and Judah. Also, his siblings; Jack, Jose, Linda, Maria, Danny, Elizabeth, Cristina, David and Barbara, as well as many brothers and sisters (in-law) and nieces and nephews. Memorial funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 20, 2021 at 11:00am at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Margie Good officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, you can send live plants or memorial donations can be made to: St. Jude Hospital.
