Susan J. Driebe, née Moss, peacefully passed away on June 15, 2026, at her
residence. Born on May 17, 1944, in Easton, Pennsylvania, to the late William John
Moss II and Frances (Smith) Moss, Susan lived a good and fulfilled life marked by an
unwavering dedication to her family during her 82 years.
Susan and Albert were united in marriage on March 11, 1965, sharing over six decades
of togetherness filled with laughter and many wonderful memories. Together, they built a
family that was truly the center of Susan’s world.
If there was one thing Susan loved above all else, it was having her family gathered
close. Many of her happiest moments were spent at the family cabin, where life slowed
down and the simple joys of being together took center stage.
A cherished mother, Susan is survived by her three children, who carry forward her
legacy of warmth, kindness, and devotion: Elizabeth “Lisa” Comunal of Stroudsburg;
Michelle “Shelly” Artimovich, and her husband Todd, of Ormond Beach, Florida; and
John Driebe, and his wife, Kay of Long Valley, New Jersey.
Susan’s nurturing spirit shone brightest in her role as a grandmother. She completely
adored her grandchildren—Jacob Comunal, Johnny Driebe, and Julia Driebe—each of
whom brought immense joy to her life and had no greater fan than their grandmother.
She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Heck, who continues to keep Susan’s memory
alive with deep affection, as well as her partner in crime, her cousin Sally Viglione.
Susan was reunited in peace with her beloved sister, Joanne Casciano, and brother,
William Moss III, who preceded her in death.
Throughout her life, Susan exemplified strength and a steadfast commitment to those
she loved. Her passing leaves an indelible mark on all who knew her, but her spirit will
live on every time her family gathers, cheers on a team, or are enjoying those simple
things life brings. She will be profoundly missed yet forever cherished.
