Sky Michael Strunk

Sky Michael Strunk, 26, of East Stroudsburg, passed away in Birmingham, Alabama on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Born Nov. 8, 1991, in Allentown, son of Michael Brian Strunk and Tara Carpenter Strunk, he was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. Sky was a member of the Hubble Foundation, which is an organization that helps families that have lost a loved one while working at elevation. He worked as a tower technician for the cell phone industry, most working on AT&T equipment. Sky is survived by his fahter, Michael Brian Strunk and his wife, Laurie, of East Stroudsburg; his mother, Tara Carpenter Strunk of Bangor; his son, Zaden Isiah Strunk; his three brothers: Stosh and Stellan Zalewski, and Ethan Strunk; his maternal grandmother, Cynthia Weiss of Bangor; his paternal grandmother, Sandy Strunk of East Stroudsburg; his paternal great-grandparents, Harold Strunk Sr. of Stroudsburg and Gloria Picca of Stroudsburg; his uncles and aunts: Bobby, Josh, David, Michael, Eric, Ryan, Jason, Sunshine, Carol, Debbie, Keala and Linda and many more aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Robert Weiss. There will be a visitation from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1336, 705 Stokes Mill Road, East Stroudsburg, with Pastor Pearman officiating a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made either to the Hubble Foundation, 45 Echota Ridge, Grant AL 35747, or to an addiction-recovery charity of one’s choice.
