Shirley W. Tarhovicky

Shirley W. Tarhovicky, 85, of Marshalls Creek, passed away on Saturday December 2, 2017 at Pleasant Valley Manor. Born June 28, 1932 in Norristown PA. She was the daughter of the late Russell and Edith (Krier) Willauer. She was the wife of John Tarhovicky. They were married for 59 years. In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by her 4 sons, Gerald W Tarhovicky and his wife Joan of Virginia Beach, VA, John Drew Tarhovicky and his companion Kenlyn of East Stroudsburg, Bruce Tarhovicky of Marshalls Creek and Owen A. Tarhovicky and his wife Julie of Marshalls Creek. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer, Meredith, Allison, Michael, Melissa and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gary Willauer and his wife Marlene of Spring Mount PA, and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her two sisters, Janet Wismer and Charlotte Circelli. Shirley worked for Sears in Norristown, PA for 20 years, Grants Department Store in East Stroudsburg, PA until they closed and for the County of Monroe for several years until her retirement. She was an avid seamstress and enjoyed quilting. Visitation with the family will be held on Saturday, December 9th from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg, PA.
