Sharon L. Getz

Sharon "Sherry" Lorraine Getz 70, of Mt. Bethel passed away on Friday July 14, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Pocono Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Born March 2, 1947 in East Stroudsburg she was the daughter of the late Kenneth C. Werkheiser and Ruth E. (Stiff) Werkheiser.Sherry left behind her companion of 12 years William Payne of Mt. Bethel, her children Jodi Getz and companion Richard Judd of Nazereth, Paula Margretta and husband Fred of Scotrun, Sean VanWhy and wife Kim of Pocono Lake and Staci Doran and husband Gene of Carteret, NJ. She was predeceased by son Jason Getz. Sherry was also the mother of Clark Bartholomew Jr. of Canadensis and Jeffri Bartholomew of Saylorsburg with whom she was sadly estranged. Sherry was the beloved Nana of 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and sister to Barbara Snyder of Brodheadsville, Kenlyn Ludwig of East Stroudsburg, and Debbi Eilber and husband Ted of Brodheadsville. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins.Sherry had many jobs the most recent being Imperial Cosmetics and The Slateford Inn.Sherry had a zest for life and could raise cain like no other. Her quick wit and crazy antics will be sorely missed. The things she loved the most were country music especially Loretta Lynn, camping and all her friends at the campground and her fur babies Harlee and Marlee.Services will be held on Tuesday July 18, 2017 at the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church 915 N. 5th St. Stroudsburg PA. Viewing will begin at 4PMfollowed by funeral services starting at 6PM.
