Sarah Jane Sims

Sarah Jane (VanWhy) Sims, 69, of Saylorsburg, PA died Friday March 20th 2020. She was the wife of Dennis c Sims, they were married 52 years. Sarah worked for several places Imperial Lipstick Factory, Diamond Aerosol and Shawnee Resort before opting to be full-time stay-at-home mom and housewife. Sarah enjoyed fishing in Canada, hunting as long as she didn't get lost (she shot 4 deer a spike buck and 3 doe) traveling, camping, kayaking and most of all being surrounded by her family, grandkids and friends. She attended East Stroudsburg High School. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Dennis C. Sims of Saylorsburg her son, Dennis Sims Jr. and his wife Wendy of Saylorsburg, daughter Denene (Sims) Noel of Saylorsburg, 9 grandkids David, Natisha, Kristina, DJ, Faith, Ryan, Nicholas, Timothy and Aliyah and 5 great-grandkids. Her mother Berneda (Ace) VanWhy of East Stroudsburg sister Linda Wall of East Stroudsburg, brother Lewis VanWhy and his wife Ginny of Saylorsburg, sister Evelyn Custard of Gouldsboro, her entire in-law family along with many nieces and nephews. There will be a viewing on Tuesday March 24, 2020 from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home 401 N 5th St, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 with a burial immediately following at Stroudsburg Cemetery.
