Russell D. Valley

Russell D. Valley, 55, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Thursday June 13, 2019 at St Luke’s Hospital, Bartonsville. He was the husband of Debra (Altemose) Valley. Born July 16, 1963 in Waterbury, Connecticut the son of Rita (Wilmsen) Valley of Toledo, Ohio and the late Norman Valley. He was a resident of East Stroudsburg for most of his lifetime. Currently he was a dealer at Mount Airy Casino. Russ was the ultimate Dead Head, and traveled following the Grateful Dead to see many of their concerts; He was also a sports fanatic In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his 2 sons, Martin Kollmer and his fiancé Marissa of Stroudsburg, and James Kollmer of Philadelphia; his brother Wesley Valley and his wife Stacey of Toledo, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Russ was a kind and loving man, who made the world better wherever he was and will be missed by everyone who knew him. There will be a visitation on Wednesday June 19, 2019 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg.
