Ronald H. Labar

Ronald H. LaBar, 84 of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Friday March 18, 2022 at the Lehigh Valley Health Systems Hospice House. He was the loving husband of Winona (Singer ) LaBar, they were married in 1958. Born November 12, 1937 in East Stroudsburg, the son of the late Elwood and Alice LaBar and Alice and John Warner; he was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. Prior to his retirement in 1999 he worked as a mechanic for the East Stroudsburg School District; prior to that he worked as a mechanic for Sibum’s Auto Salvage and McGraw Edison - Line Material. After his retirement he owned and operated Ronald LaBar’s Locksmith Business. Ron loved Woodworking and decorating for Christmas. In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his 2 sons, Ronald and his wife Andrea, and Guy and his wife Karla He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren Keith LaBar and his wife Candy, Corey LaBar and his wife Britney, Guy LaBar and his fiancé Anastasia, and Anna LaBar and her fiancé Ryan; His great grandchildren Eric LaBar, Noah LaBar, Ellianna LaBar, Carter LaBar, and Brody LaBar; and several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his granddaughter Julie LaBar, and his brothers Lanny LaBar and Elton LaBar. At Ronald’s request, there will be no services his cremated remains will be buried in the Reeder’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. The Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the American Heart Association or the March of Dimes
