Ronald Falkinberg Zwalley

Ronald Falkinberg Zwalley Sr., 84, of Bartonsville, passed away on (day & date) at Pleasant Valley Manor. He was the husband of Rebecca S. (McKinney) Zwalley. Born August 30, 1932 in Stroudsburg, the son of the late Elmer and Mildred (Bellis) Zwalley. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. Ron was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1953 to 1957, during the Korean War, and was a member of the VFW Post 2540 and the American Legion Post #346, East Stroudsburg. He worked as Welder and Mechanic at Paterson Kelley, was an East Stroudsburg Police Officer from 1957 to 1959, and Owned and Operated the former Ron’s Silver Dollar Bar in Stroudsburg. In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his children, LeeAnn Heeter and her husband Daryl of Whittier, North Carolina, Ronald F. Zwalley Jr. and Isaac Brady of Stroudsburg.; his sister Marilyn Ace and her husband Paul of Stroudsburg; and his former wife Barbara Zwalley. Many Grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, and his best baby Chloe. Ron was predeceased by his son Zee Zwalley, his daughter Melanie Bond; his grandson Michael Benner; and his sister Judy Kresge. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 4, 2017 at 11:00am at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Rev___________________officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg. There will be viewings on Thursday August 3, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on (day & date) from 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
