Robert Anthony Lagreca

Robert Anthony LaGreca, 61, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Pocono Health System Hospice House. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was the husband of Jasmine (Quartulli) LaGreca; they were married October 23, 1997. Bob was born on April 9, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of the late Patsy and Mary (Bodolato) LaGreca. He had been a resident of Monroe County since 2001 and prior to that of Brooklyn, New York. He was of the Catholic Faith. Bob volunteered for many children’s charities and was also an active coach for Little League and youth basketball Prior to his retirement, he worked for the New York City Department of Sanitation for many years. He actually worked for ten straight years without taking a day off. He then worked at Colonial Auto in Bartonsville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Jennifer Centeno and her husband Richard of Stroudsburg, Laura Scalercio and her husband Fidoro of East Stroudsburg, Leonard Quartararo and his wife Nisha of Stroudsburg, Vincent Quartararo and his wife Amanda of Culpeper, Virginia and Erica Quartararo of East Stroudsburg, as well as his grandchildren, Juliet Bella, Vincent Peter, Chase Robert, Richard Vincent Jr, Madeline Lilly and Vincent Jr. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, August 2nd at 10:00 AM at the Church of Saint Matthew, 200 Brodhead Avenue, East Stroudsburg with Father Joseph Mosely as celebrant. Cremation will follow. There will be a viewing on Monday, August 1st from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg.
