Richard Michael Padgett

Richard Michael "Mike" Padgett, 63, passed away on Tuesday June 27, 2017 at his home in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Born November 10, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas the son of the late Richard L. and Doris V. (Brodock) Padgett. Mike was good with his hands and could fix most anything, vacuums being his forte. He was always there to help out and do what he could or lend a helping hand. Mike will be remembered by his good nature, quick wit and sense of humor and the ability to make friends wherever he went. Mike was a Master Disc Golfer and member of the PDGA for most of his adult life and was an avid Oklahoma Sooner's fan. Mike is survived by his daughter Meghan Sikes, the light of his life and her husband Cody and his children Mason & Kassidy of Yukon, Oklahoma; his sisters Michelle Roberts and her husband Gary of Stroudsburg, Debra Spencer and her husband Bill of Poway, California; and nieces; Jennifer, Cherise, Katie and Brittany, grand-nieces; Brooklyn, Brinley and Phoebe and grand-nephews; Logan, Beau and Grayson. Memorial services will be held on July 12, 2017 graveside at the Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kansas. Cremation was performed by the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Interment will be provided by Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home in Arkansas City, Kansas.
