Raymond Smollin Jr.

Raymond Smollin Jr, 74, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Friday

May 3, 2024, at his home. He is the husband of Elaine Val (Smith)

Smollin.

He is the father to his son Keith Smollin and the brother to Ronnie

Linzenbold (Smollin) of Vernon, NJ

Born August 9, 1949, in Hackensack, NJ the son of the late Raymond

Sr and Elizabeth (Hopper) Smollin and grew up in Ridgewood, NJ. He

graduated from Mt. Carmel Catholic grammar school and Ridgewood

High School. He was a resident of Monroe County since 2013 and prior

to that of West Trenton, NJ.

He was an avid railroad enthusiast and belonged to the Erie

Lackawanna Historical Committee and the New York Susquehanna

and Western Historical Committee. He was also a member of the

Lackawanna Cutoff Historical Committee.

He worked for the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental

Protection Agency and was a Field Investigator. Prior to this he

worked for New Jersey Consumer Affairs in Newark, NJ.

In addition to his wife, He is the father to his son Keith Smollin and

the brother to Ronnie Linzenbold (Smollin) of Vernon, NJ, his Sister

Ronnie Linzenbold (Smollin) and her husband Bob Linzenbold of

Vernon, NJ.

Celebration of his life will be Aug 10th in Port Jervis, NY at Erie Hotel

Bar and Restaurant.
