Randy Scott LaBar, born on August 18, 1958, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 31, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono in East Stroudsburg. He is remembered for his dedicated service and kind spirit, leaving a positive impact on all who knew him.
Randy devoted over 38 years of his career to the Brodhead Creek Regional Authority, where his commitment to excellence shone through his work. His legacy extends beyond his professional achievements, as he was known for his caring nature, always making others feel better than when they first encountered him. Randy's warm and willingness to lend a listening ear endeared him to many.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Randy found joy and solace in the great outdoors, often being found in his garden, nurturing plants and enjoying the beauty of nature. His passion for these hobbies was a testament to his appreciation for life's simple pleasures.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carol A. (Weiss) LaBar; his son, Matthew S. LaBar; and his brothers, Wayne and Jimmy LaBar, and sisters Margaret Weiss, Jeannie Savoy, and Debra Medeiros. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws, all of whom will carry his memory in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul D. LaBar, and his parents, Franklin M. LaBar Jr. and Shirley M. (Tucker) LaBar. The love and guidance he received from his family shaped the man he became, and his absence will be deeply felt.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Keller's Cherry Valley Cemetery.
