Ralph William Leon

Flag Ralph William Leon, 63, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Saturday October 22, 2016 at the Pocono Health Systems Hospice House. He is the husband of Christina Foster. Born November 20, 1952 in Jersey City, New Jersey, the son of the late Dominick and Anne (Platyes) Leon; he was a resident of Monroe County for the past 16 years, and prior to that of Jersey City, New Jersey He proudly served is county during the Vietnam War in both the United States Navy and then the Marines. Ralph was a member of the VFW Post #344 Mount Pocono/Tobyhanna; VFW Post #2540, East Stroudsburg; and the American Legion Post #346, East Stroudsburg. He worked as a Block Mason for many years, he also worked on the trucking docks in New Jersey; and he was a cook in New Orleans for many years. In addition to his wife Christian, he is survived by his daughters Jessica and Sarah Leon, and Erin. He is also survived by his siblings Steve. Lorie, Dominique and Mark Leon. Funeral services with military honors will be held on Friday October 28, 2016 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street .Cremation will follow.
