Pauline Shirley (Marsh) Straub

Pauline Shirley (Marsh) Straub, 90, of Stroudsburg, passed away on Tuesday April 27, 2021 at Gluco Lodge. She was the wife of the late William J. Straub Sr, who died July 26, 2009. They were married for 52 years at the time of his death. Pauline was born June 16, 1930 in Stroudsburg, the daughter of the late Fred Marsh and Janet R. Marsh. She was a graduate of Stroudsburg High School with the Class of 1948. Prior to her retirement she worked at Anchor-Davitt in Stroudsburg. Her first job was with A.B. Wyckoff in the Candy Department. Pauline is survived by her sons, William J. Straub Jr. and his wife Donna, Stephen D. Straub and his wife Jennifer, Scott E. Straub, and her daughter-in-law Susanne Straub. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dawn (Mark) Holtsmaster, BJ Straub, Christina Straub, Meghan Straub, Danielle (Ben) Straub-Walfish, Tim Morris and Mike (Monica) Morris, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Helen Marsh, and Nieces and Nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded by her son John R. Straub, brothers William Marsh, Clarence ”Sonny” Marsh, The Honorable James R. Marsh, and her sister Sara Jory. There will be a viewing on Friday April 30 from 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday April 30, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with the Rev. Dr. James Thomas, officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg.
