My mother passed away quietly in the morning on May 24, 2026. She was born Patricia Ann
McLane to Joan McLane, and named after Patrick and Anna her grandparents who raised her.
She was married and a mother by twenty one years of age.
She was kind, loving and fun. She loved books, flowers and music. She was happiest when
she danced. She was nurturing and wise. She loved taking care of her little ones at the
daycare. She had the mind of a teacher and the soul of an artist.
She was somehow (super) superstitious but, she also had deep faith in God (so very Irish). She
laughed easily and cried maybe easier. She was fragile, but resilient as hell. She was magical,
and carried a light deep inside her that no-one could quell.
She loved me and my boys, and her dear friends with all of her heart. I think she may have left
us too soon and I’ll miss her always.
