Pasquale "Pat" De Maria

Picture Pasquale M. “Pat” DeMaria, 64, of Henryville, passed away on Wednesday October 5, 2016 at his home. He is survived by the Love of His Life for the past 25 years Sandy Strunk. Born April 25, 1952 in East Stroudsburg, the son of the late Michael P. and Nancy DeMaria. He was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. Pat was self employed as a contractor for his entire life, he worked in Paving, General construction and remodeling. He loved the outdoors, camping, boating, gardening, and working in his garage, He was know as McGyver to his family because he could fix anything and if he didn’t have the tool to fix something he would make it. Pat loved to travel and took his love Sandy from Maine to Florida. In addition to the Love of His Life, Sandy, Pat is survived by his son Jamie J. DeMaria; his daughter Michelle Bernard and her husband William; his grandson Gage Bernard; his stepchildren Sunshine “Sunny” VanGorder, and Michael Strunk; his siblings and many nieces and nephews. Memorial funeral services will be held on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 12:00noon at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor John Harding officiating. There will be a visitation on Saturday from 10:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
