Obadiah Naomi Florence

Obadiah Naomi Florence, 92, of Stroudsburg passed away on Monday June 20, 2016 at the Pocono Health System Hospice House. She was the wife of the late O.D. Florence who died December 29, 1966. Born February 17, 1924 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of the late Fletcher and Jimmie (Henderson) Bennett. She was a resident Monroe County since November 2011 and prior to that of Orwigsburg, PA and prior to that of Florida. Obadiah was a member of the Stroudsburg Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She is survived by her 7 children, Doris Aikens and her husband James of Chardon, OH, Belinda Parker of Buffalo, NY, Virginia Flenoy of Playa Del Ray, CA; Mary Evelyn Jahada and her husband George of East Stroudsburg, Otis Florence and his wife Deborah of Tampa FL, Gail Florence of Long Beach CA, Michael Florence and his wife Virginia of Tampa FL. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren Nicole Mabry, Angie Aikens, Kimberly Aikens, Steven Otis Florence Jr, Ryan Florence, Carrie Salazar, Devin Wilson, and Jason Wilson, and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 2 children Glenda Ann Curry and Vincent Allen Florence and her Grandson Benjamin Wilson. A memorial will be held on Saturday June 25, 2016 at 3:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 209 Milford Road, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
