Nancy M. (Bitterman) Hannon

Nancy M. (Bitterman) Hannon, 71, of East Stroudsburg, passed away Sunday evening, February 12, 2017, at home. Her daughter, Becky Hannon, and her two grandchildren, Alexandria Kohler and Arian Kohler, will lovingly remember Nancy. Above all else, she cherished her family. Born in Chester, PA, she was a daughter of the late Gordon and Margaret (Storm) Bitterman and was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. She was a 1963 graduate of East Stroudsburg High School. She was a long time organizer of the Class of 63 alumni, celebrating their 50th reunion in 2013. She loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, especially making beautiful scarves for many people. She was the head cheerleader at East Stroudsburg High School, where her plaque still hangs on the wall. She was a devoted friend and enjoyed Sunday breakfast with them. She retired from Patterson-Kelly in 2010 after 40 years of service. Nancy deeply loved her little dog, Ella “Bean.” She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, G-Ma, to N.J. (Nathan Junior). She is survived by her daughter, Becky Hannon and spouse Jyl Connor, her granddaughter, Alexandria Kohler and her fiancée, Nathan Vetesy, their son, N.J., her grandson, Arian Kohler, her sister Carolyn Mansfield and her husband Bob, her sister Marjorie Schaffer and her husband Ken, Brian Fish her former son-in-law and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. “We Love You More” Mom, Nanny, G-Ma, Nancy!!! A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00 in the Banquet Hall at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1106 located at 1210 North 5th Street in Stroudsburg.
