Mildred R. "Millie" Hockenberry

Picture Mildred R. “Millie” Hockenberry, 75, of Kunkletown passed away on Friday November 18, 2016 at the Pocono Health System Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Stanley E. Harrison. Born January 2, 1941 in Port Jervis, New York, the daughter of the late Delbert and Harriet (Ball) Hockenberry. She was a resident of Monroe County for many years and also lived in Bushkill for many years. Mille worked at The Manor resort and also at Buck Hill Falls. Millie was a loving mother and devoted grandmother and is survived by her son Dale K. Hockenberry Sr and his wife Robyne of Saylorsburg; her 5 grandchildren, Dale K. Hockenberry Jr and his wife Melanie of Gilberton, Josh Hockenberry and his fiancé Shanta Mingo of Scranton, Kaela Hockenberry-French and her husband Areson of Mahanony City, Maria Carcamo and Jacob Jones of Kunkletown; and her great grandchildren Corbin Buttaro and Violette Rose French. She is also survived by her brother Robert Hockenberry of Port Jervis, and many nieces and nephews. Millie was predeceased by her daughter Karen L. Jones, her stepdaughters Mildred “Cookie” Canally, Daisy Snook, and Margaret “Peg” Winters; and her siblings Delbert and Charles and May King. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 22, 2016 at 1:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. There will be a viewing from 11:30am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
