Michael Stroman

Michael Stroman passed away on December 7, 2020. Michael was born on May 24, 1956 in Germantown, PA. He was the son of Hattie V. and Jesse Stroman Jr of Magnolia, DE. Mike graduated from Holmdel High School. He was part of the first graduating class and varsity football team where he set several school records. Mike attended Delaware State and Montclair State University where he was a brother of Phi Beta Sigma, Kappa Epsilon Chapter. Michael was a co-founder of Rock Steady Boxing Poconos with his wife, Teresa Keyek. Mike dedicated his time over the last several years to the boxing program, which is a non- contact boxing program dedicated to improving the lives of people with Parkinson’s. Michael was an avid Eagles fan and was more than excited when they won the superbowl! He enjoyed traveling with his wife especially to the Dominican Republic almost as much as he loved his Eagles. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Teresa. Although only married a short time it was a true love, a “Match of a Lifetime.” Michael was also survived by his parents, and his seven children Curtis Stroman, Arielle Naylor, Jesse Stroman, Jared Stroman, Thaddeus Stroman, Arianna Stroman, Annalissa Stroman and their families. His brother Miles Stroman and numerous nieces, nephew and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Valerie Bouldin. Due to ongoing COVID-19 health concerns and restrictions, visitation will be limited and will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 1:00 – 2:30 at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5 th Street, Stroudsubrg PA. There will be a virtual Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 20 at 1:00 pm. A link to the service will be provided.
