Mervin Foster, son of Enid and Calvin Foster was born in Kingston, Jamaica on December 3, 1956. Mervin graduated from Saint Andrews Technical High School in Kingston, Jamaica. In order to achieve a better future, Mervin moved to America where he settled in Brooklyn, NY and began working for Pfizer Inc. Mervin worked as a Senior Computer Analyst for 25 years. After Pfizer, Mervin worked for Zimmer Biometric as a Reimbursement Coordinator and Collector for 13 years. Mervin was a man of strong character, very independent and provide physical and emotional welfare for his children. Mervin also provided a vital role in the upbringing his grandchildren. Mervin was a family oriented man who kept his family first and foremost always. He was a firm believer in God which led him to be later baptized with his wife Yvette. His values of education, hard work, discipline and faith has made an impact not only on his family and loved ones, but also those who he came to know. Mervin’s beautiful life will be cherished in the life of his wife Yvette; his children Kevin, Tisha, Shaunna, Mervin Jr., Karina, Tonisha and Cherika; his son-in-law Matthew; his grandchildren Dimitri, Taylor, Nasir, Zoey, Aleah and Amir; his brothers and sisters Yvonne, Barrington, Angela, Anthony, Lorna and Andrew; his nieces, nephews and a host of family, loved ones and friends. A viewing will be held on Sunday from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg.
