Maureen R. Kelly

Maureen R. Kelly, 58, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Wednesday September 7, 2016 at the Golden Living Center, East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of the late James J. Kelly Jr., who died June 21, 2016, they were married for 40 years. Born February 14, 1958 in Jersey City, New Jersey the daughter of the late Joseph and Norma (Kennedy) Savannah. She was a resident of Monroe County since 1982. Maureen was a member of Saint Matthews Catholic Church, East Stroudsburg where she taught Sunday School in the past. She was a graduate of Northampton Community College where she became a Registered Nurse, She then worked as an RN for Zahra Pediatrics, and most recently she worked as an RN for Nurse Finders. Maureen is survived by her sons Kevin J. Kelly and Matthew J. Kelly; two grandchildren Cameron J. Kelly and Makayla R. Kelly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday September 12, 2016 at 10:00am at the Church of Saint Matthew, 200 Brodhead Avenue, East Stroudsburg. Burial will follow in the Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg. There will be viewings on Sunday September 11, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg.
