Matilde Cruz Sandoval, 92, of Stroudsburg, passed away on Wednesday January 10, 2018 at Whitestone Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late William Delgado Sr. Born June 3, 1925 in Caguas, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Agustin and Rafaela (Sandoval) Cruz. Matilde is survived by her daughter Ileana Delgado and her husband Nelson Ortiz; her daughter Bernice Valentin. Beloved grandmother of Frank William Flores, Lisette Lagares, Lisa Favata, and Taris Delgado. Beloved great grandmother of Frankie, Aaron, Elisa, Jmarie, Juliana, William Christopher, Madison and Grace; her sister Ramona Cruz and her children Yvonne and Ray, her sister Juanita Abreu, and her daughter Carmen She was predeceased by her son William Delgado Jr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 13, 2018 at 5:00pm with a viewing from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Matt Fisher officiating.
