Mary Rosell Ball

Mary Rosell Ball, 94, of Stroudsburg passed away on Tuesday January 30, 2024, surrounded by her family at her home. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Ball who passed away January 7, 2020, they were married for 71 years at the time of his passing.

Born January 19, 1930, in Sugar Notch, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gudoski) Rosell. She was a resident of Stroudsburg since 1953

Mary worked as a nurse in Baltimore, Maryland, before becoming a full time stay at home Mom. She did have a few part-time jobs, one being at JC Penney Department Store, when it was on Main Street in Stroudsburg; and she also worked at the Old River Road Bakery and the Stroud Mall.

Her favorite things were sewing, reading, and spending time with her family. She and her husband traveled all the 50 States as well as many countries.

Mary is survived by her 3 children, Barbara Wilson and her husband Kim of Millville, NJ, Bernard “Bernie” Ball (husband of the late Dorothy) of Marshalls Creek, and Karen Ball of Stroudsburg. She is also survived by six grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by 2 daughters, Patricia Shook and Janine Decker

She was also predeceased by her sisters, Lizzy, Evelyn, Beatrice and a brother Lenny.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 6, 2024, at 12:00pm at the Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg, there will be a visitation on Tuesday from 11:00am until the time of the services at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at 12:30pm in the Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg.
