Mary Dryden Poush

Mary Dryden Poush, 62, of Stroud Township passed away peacefully at home on September 20th after a protracted battle with cancer. A 1974 graduate of Stroudsburg High School, Dryden is survived by her husband Richard of Stroud Township, a daughter, Dryden and husband Szabi Fekete of Roseto, a son, Ian of Philadelphia, four grandchildren, Christian, Andrew, Dryden and Emma, brothers John A Howard and wife Kathryn of Baltimore MD, and brother William Howard of Durham NC. Dryden attended Northampton Community College majoring in early childhood education and worked as a pre-school teacher at the YMCA in Stroudsburg, an aide at the Northampton Community College Child Care Center and as a paraprofessional educator with the Stroudsburg Area School District. She loved children and enjoyed going to work everyday. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them participate in their various activities. Remembrances in Dryden’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society, Animal Welfare Society of Monroe or the charity of your choice. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
