Martha Herman

Martha “Marty” Herman, 71 of Stroudsburg, passed away on Sunday July 9,2023 at Whitestone Commons, Stroud Township.
Born March 6, 1952, in East Stroudsburg, the daughter of the late Richard Herman Sr and the late Frances G. (Kingman) Herman. She was a lifetime resident of Monroe County.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
She was employed at the Mount Airy Lodge, Sheraton Hotel and the Country Hot Dog Stand. She loved to walk and being outdoors and loved going to church.
Martha is survived by her 2 brothers, Richard Herman Jr and his wife Judy of Easton, Brian D. Herman of Coopersburg: her nieces and nephews Brenda Herman, Rickie Herman, Alexa Herman and Melissa Elmore.
She is also survived by her good friends Jodie and Randi Strunk of Stroudsburg and Eleanor Slutter of Stroudsburg.
Martha was predeceased by her twin sisters Janet and Barbara Herman.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday July 30, 2023, at 1:00pm at the Faith United Methodist Church, 1106 Clause Drive, Stroudsburg with Pastor Jack Tironi as the celebrant; with a luncheon to immediately follow at the church.
Her cremated remains will be buried in the Effort United Methodist Church Cemetery, Effort.
The Bensing Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg is in charge of her cremation arrangements.
