Marjorie Ann Yandow Cyphers of Stroudsburg passed away at ManorCare West in Allentown on April 8, 2021 at the age of 85 after a long illness. She was born July 19, 1935 in Allentown and was the daughter of Earl J. Yandow and Miriam Dunkle Yandow of Catasauqua. She graduated from Catasauqua High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. Marjorie leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years, Robert F. Cyphers of Stroudsburg. She is also survived by her son, David Cyphers and his wife Michelle of San Diego, CA; her daughter Diane Crowe and her husband, Scott, of Charlton, MA; five grandchildren: Soreen Lee, Thomas Crowe, Jacqueline Crowe-Putz, Chames Cyphers, and Victoria Crowe; two great-grandchildren; her predeceased sister’s (Mary’s) husband, Thomas Weidner of State College, and nephews and nieces. Over the years, Marjorie had been involved with the Garden Club and the League of Women Voters. She also held various positions within both the American Association of University Women and the Lutheran Church Women. Marjorie had multiple jobs that enabled her to work with children and she also was employed by The Appliance Doctor for many years. Marjorie enjoyed reading, gardening, playing the organ, taking walks, travelling in her motorhome with her dogs, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Respects can be paid on Saturday, July 10 at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home at 401 N 5 th St in Stroudsburg from 10:30-11:00 AM. A small Memorial Service will be held directly afterwards.
