Marion Elfriede Hendricks, 69, of East Stroudsburg passed away Wednesday evening, September 27, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Network Hospice Care in Allentown after suffering a stroke while also battling lung cancer. She was the wife of Ronald Hendricks with whom she shared 53 years of marriage on June 20, 2017. Born October 9, 1947 in East Stroudsburg, she was the only child of the late Reginald K. Miller, Sr. and Elfriede (Merk) Miller, she was a resident of Monroe County her entire life. Marion spent a good part of her childhood in the company of her paternal grandmother, Mary Eve Miller, whom she adored. Marion worked at Courtland Novelty and Crompton's Big & Tall Menswear, but what she loved the most was being a Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She loved to "putter" around the house and was a woman that truly enjoyed ironing. Marion enjoyed crocheting afghans and doilies (which she gifted to many friends and family members), baking cakes and cookies, shopping at AC Moore and Hobby Lobby and spending time with family and friends around her kitchen table. She enjoyed visiting "her ladies" at Golden Living Nursing Home, where she brightened their days. She always had a candy dish filled to the top with "the good stuff" on her coffee table. She was a firm believer in karma and in "what comes around goes around". She was a loyal, loving friend who always spoke her mind and will be greatly missed by many. Marion was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 346 and the Women of the Moose Lodge # 1336 both in East Stroudsburg, and a past member of the Pocono Mountain Chapter of A.B.A.T.E of PA and I.L.G.W.U.. In addition to her husband Ronald she is survived by her daughters Tammy Daze and her husband Pierre of Maryland, and Rhonda Doherty and her husband Cliff of Canadensis; grandson Ronald Possinger of Scranton and granddaughters Kyra Romiski of Wilkes-Barre and Brittany Doherty of Canadensis.
