Marilyn R. Strunk

Dove Marilyn R. Strunk, 86, of Stroudsburg passed away on Monday March 28, 2016. The Lord saw how tired she was, reached for her hand and took her home. She was the widow of her loving husband of 63 years, Michael Strunk Sr., and was also preceded in death by her son: Jeffery Strunk. Born in Washington, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Roy and Ann Seems and stepdaughter of the late Lee H. Serfass. She was of Christian Faith and, when able, attended Cornerstone Community Church. Marilyn was an avid reader, enjoyed camping with family and friends and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was the proud mother of 3 daughters, who will miss her dearly: Lee Ann Mahaffey and her husband Steven, Terry Ludwig and her husband Mark and Joann Gargone and her husband Robert; a daughter-in-law, Vicki Warsinski; a stepson, Michael Strunk Jr. and his wife Helen. She was known as Nana to her 7 grandchildren: Daniel Sweeney, Jessica Longworth, Joshua Ludwig, Tara Kilmer, Christopher Ludwig, Danielle Strunk and Jeremiah Strunk; 2 step-grandchildren: Michael Strunk III and Shelly Strunk; and a great-grandaughter, Reagan Kilmer. She is also survived by 2 brothers: Roy Seems and Alan Serfass and his wife Kathy. A Memorial and Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday April 8, 2016 at 10:00 for family, 10:30 for friends and 11:00 service with luncheon to follow at Cornerstone Community Church on the corner of H.T.Y. Road and Polk Township Road, Kunkletown, with Pastor Stuart T. Szmaciasz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cornerstone Community Church, 388 Polk Township Road, Kunkletown PA 18058.
