Marilyn DeSoto, 84, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Friday Morning at the Lehigh Valley Health Systems Hospice House, East Stroudsburg. She was the Long time companion of Michael Cuomo, and she was the widow of the late William DeSoto who died January 31, 1981. Born November 2, 1936 in Manhattan, New York the daughter of the late August and Helen (Vargas) Henriquez. She was a resident of East Stroudsburg since 1995 and prior to that of New York City. She worked as an assistant Manager at Miles Shoe Store in Manhattan fro many years She was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of Saint Jerome’s Church in the Bronx. She was a regular at Mount Airy Casino where she had many friends; and also at the Arlington Diner in Stroudsburg. In addition to her companion, Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Denise Piccola and her husband Frank of East Stroudsburg; her granddaughter Dana Scarlatos of Tannersville; her brother Sonny Henriquez, her sisters Esther Sierra and her husband Charles, Joan Rivera and her husband Eddie all of New York and her sister Helen Rosado of New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time. Memorial donations may be made in Marilyn’s name to the Animal Welfare Society of Monroe (AWSOM) PO Box 13, Stroudsburg PA 18360
