Margaret M. Mckeown

Margaret M. McKeown, 80, of East Stroudsburg passed away on October 26, 2018 in her home with her family at her side. She was the wife of the late Donald E. McKeown. Born May 9, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of the late John A. and Stella (Palbicke) Bieda. She was a resident of Monroe County since 1992 and prior to that of Green Bay, Wisconsin but lived most of her life in New York. She was of the Catholic Faith; and was the President of the Glen Oak Forest Property Association. Prior to her retirement she worked as a real estate agent, most recently for Century 21 Harvest Real Estate in Brodheadsville. Margaret is survived by her daughter Laurene McKeown of East Stroudsburg, her sons, Jaime McKeown of New York City, Daniel Bruner of Illinois, Phil McKeown of New York City and Anthony McKeown of Las Vegas, Nevada Her Grandchildren Erik Bruner of San Diego, Jamie Bruner and Danielle Bruner of Illinois; Her great grandchildren Mikaylah and Elijah Bruner of Illinois, Brooklyn and Kennedy Bruner of San Diego and Amari Delone Stackhouse of Illinois. She is also survived by her siblings Stanley, Edwin, Helen and Kenny; and was predeceased by her brothers, John and Edward, and her sisters Mary and Therese. Memorial funeral services will be held on Thursday November 1, 2018 at 11:00am at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Margie Good officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00am until the time of the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105
