Margaret M. Courtney

Margaret M. Courtney, 66, of Tobyhanna, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at Allied Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, Scranton. She was the wife of the late John H. Courtney; who died January 22, 2017. Born September 8, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Walter P. and Roseanne (Doyle) Cassidy , she was a resident of Monroe County since 1995 and, prior to that, of West Hempstead, New York. She was a project manager in the communication field. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen Beavers and her husband, Matthew, of Gouldsboro; her son, Sean Courtney and his wife, Marisa, of Albrightsville; and her grandchildren: Caleb Beavers, Fiona, Finnegan and Fenton Courtney . She is also survived by her sister Maureen Valvo and her husband Carmen of Garden City, NY. Friends and family may call from 1:00pm to 6:00pm, with prayer services, on Saturday September 29, 2018 at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 40 N. Fifth St., Stroudsburg.
