Margaret Jacoby Heller passed away on December 13, 2015 at the Centegra Hospital in Woodstock, Illinois. She was a lifelong resident of Stroudsburg born on May 22, 1916 in the first home built on North Sixth Street this was the home of her grandfather Benjamin Samuel Jacoby. She was the daughter of the late Jeremy Mackey Jacoby and Sarah (Ace) Jacoby.  She had one sister, Elisabeth Jacoby Montgomery. She was married to Homer Ira Heller, who passed away on January 28, 1990. Margaret was in the Cradle Roll of the First Presbyterian Church, and later joined and was a member for many years. She was the first woman to serve on the board of trustees of her church. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Monroe County Historical Society. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge, as well as for monthly meetings with Questers. Above all she enjoyed her family. She leaves a son, H. Craig Heller and his wife and of Illinois; one granddaughter Holly Hill, her husband Larry, two great-granddaughters Lauren and Emily of Virginia; nieces and nephews: Kathy and William brunette of Stroudsburg; Nancy and David Gilmour, Madison Sandra Montgomery, Holly and Laing Stevens of California. Funeral services will be held on Friday December 18, 2015 at 11:00am from the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Rev Dr Stuart Wilson and Pastor George Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Stroudsburg Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Friday from 10:00am until the time of the services at the funeral home.
