Luis Rivera

Luis Rivera, 76, of East Stroudsburg passed away on Saturday December 24, 2016 surrounded by his family at his home. He was the husband of Barbara (Schmidt) Rivera, at home. Born October 7, 1940 in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Francisco and Isolina (Ortiz) Rivera. Prior to his retirement he worked as a truck drive in the dairy industry. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and was of the Catholic Faith. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Debbie, Doreen, Dennis, Darin and Duane; 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 29, 2016 at the Church of Saint Matthew, 200 Brodhead Avenue, East Stroudsburg. There will be a viewing on Wednesday December 28, 2016 from 12noon to 8:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg. I
