Louis Joseph DeLucca Sr. of Pocono Summit, passed away May 6, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Stroudsburg PA. He was 82. He shared a 52 year marriage with his beloved wife, Mary Ellen, before her death in 2012. Born in Philadelphia on March 8, 1938, he became a tool and die maker after graduating from Dobbins Technical School. He ran a machine shop from his home in Huntingdon Valley until he retired to the Poconos in 2004. He was also a Snap-On tools dealer. He loved his work and tinkering with or inventing things. He also enjoyed fishing, sailing, cruising, day trips, and vacationing and dining out with family and friends. He was a Phillies and Eagles fan. Preceding him in death are his parents Louis and Rose (Rescigno) DeLucca and a sister, Mary D’Ambrosio, all of Philadelphia, and a brother, Francis, of Florida. He is survived by son Louis DeLucca Jr. and his wife, Dianna of Belleville, MI and Stephen F. DeLucca of Marshalls Creek PA; daughter Diane Appelt and her husband, George, of Fredericksburg, PA; grandchildren Anthony Appelt, Katherine Wolf (Austin), Margaret Lobstein (Tim), Rose DeLucca, and Louis DeLucca III; sisters Rosemarie Viney of Royersford and Bea Jensen (Chris) of Warminster; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services and burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Cheltenham PA will be held a ta later date.
