Louis J. Del Rey Jr.

Louis Joseph Del Rey Jr., known affectionately as Lou or Louie, passed away unexpectedly on April 14, 2025, at the age of 48 in East Stroudsburg, PA. Born on June 19, 1976, in Elizabeth, NJ, Lou was a beloved figure known for his vibrant personality and deep love for his family, friends, and animals.

Lou graduated from Rahway High School and throughout his life, he was known for his hardworking nature and willingness to lend a helping hand. He had a notable passion for tattoos and music, often seen getting new ink or enjoying his favorite tunes. His quick wit and sarcastic humor were a source of joy and laughter for those around him, and he had an uncanny ability to quote movies, bringing smiles to many faces.

He is survived by a loving family: his father, Louis R. Del Rey Sr.; daughter, Abigail R. Del Rey; sister, Michele L. Del Rey; fiancée, Nicole L. Rosa, and her children, Antonio N. Rosa and Gianna C. Rosa; his son, Anthony J. Del Rey and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lou was preceded in death by his mother, Susan M. Del Rey (Smalley), whose memory he cherished deeply.

In lieu of services, Lou's life will be remembered privately by his immediate family. In memory of Lou, contributions can be made through donations of food or necessities to local animal shelters, supporting a cause close to his heart. Lou's legacy of kindness, humor, and generosity will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
