Lois J. Cunningham

Lois J. Cunningham, 85, of Stroudsburg, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bartonsvillle. She was the wife of Lawrence G. Cunningham, they were married in 1986. Born April 26, 1934 in Bangor, the daughter of the late Alvin and Geraldine (Hill) Slutter. She was a lifetime resident of the area and was of the Wesleyan faith. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a seamstress in numerous garment factories. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 3 daughters, Jeanenne Folmar and her husband Wayne, of Henryville, Janice McKeown and her husband Thomas of East Stroudsburg and Judy Notz and her husband Rick of Carlise. Her five grandchildren, Michelle Sedorchuk, Heather Cassidy, Tara Bauman, Megan Notz and Rebecca Brown; and eight great grandchildren. Her stepchildren Brian and Carol Cunningham She is also survived by her sister Lenore Rutt of Bangor. Lois was predeceased by her brothers Dwayne and Charles Slutter and step son Glenn Cunningham. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 1, 2019 at 3:00pm at the Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg. Cremation will follow. There will be a viewing on Wednesday May 1, from 2:00pm until the time of the services at the funeral home.
