Lois Diane Verwey - Pugh

Lois Diane Verwey - Pugh, 81, of Stroudsburg passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at The Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the widow of Robert Pugh. Born on February 20, 1941 in East Stroudsburg, the daughter of the late Henry and Dorothea (Christman) Kammer and sister of the late Barbara and David Kammer. She was a life long resident of Monroe County and was preceded in death by her son, Troy John Verwey in 1988. Surviving children are Anthony Verwey and wife Kathleen, Terence Verwey and Tarah (Verwey) Probst and husband Donald Johnson along with two stepchilden, Robyn Pugh - Weiss and husband Jim and Michelle (Pugh) Piccirilli and husband Frank. Lois had several nieces and nephews, but her nephew Eugene VanGorden was like a son to her. Lois adored her children and grand children, Troy John Verwey, Ty Verwey, Matthew Verwey, Hunter Probst, Paige, Daisy and Brady Pugh Weiss and Maurianna and Giovanni Piccirilli. Lois was a hard worker and a waitress for most of her life and had many friends and family that will miss her. She was most proud of her children and all of their accomplishments raising them as a single mother. She was selfless, funny and will truly be missed by so many. A special thank you to everyone who has reached out, to Grace Park in Stroudsburg where she resided for two years and the hospice team at LV Cedar Crest.
