  • Linda Unruh (Pine), age 80, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, in
  • Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
  • Born on January 18, 1945, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Linda was the daughter
  • of the late Harold and Evelyn Pine. She grew up in the Pocono region and graduated
  • from Stroudsburg High School before pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse.
  • She earned her RN degree from Abington Nursing School and went on to enjoy a long
  • and fulfilling career as a registered nurse.
  • Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy came from
  • spending time with her family and friends. She shared a loving marriage with her
  • husband, Robert “Bob” Unruh, and together they built a life centered around love,
  • laughter, and shared passions. Linda took immense pride in following the lives of her
  • children and grandchildren—Karen Unruh and Rob Unruh (Cathy)—and delighted in
  • supporting them through their many activities over the years. Whether cheering from the
  • sidelines or celebrating milestones big and small, she was always present with
  • unwavering encouragement.
  • Her grandchildren, Robbie Unruh and Megan Unruh, held a special place in her heart.
  • Linda cherished every moment spent watching them grow and enjoyed hearing about all
  • of their adventures. Linda is also survived by her sister Ann Schantz (Dave).
  • Beyond her family life and professional dedication to nursing, Linda found joy in simple
  • pleasures. She was an avid fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams and especially loved
  • watching Phillies games with Bob by her side—a pastime that brought them countless
  • hours of enjoyment together.
  • Linda’s warmth, dedication to others, and enduring love for her family leave behind a
  • legacy that will be treasured by all who knew her.
  • There is no service planned at this time. In lieu of flowers please donate to the National
  • Multiple Sclerosis Society in her honor.
  • May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
