- Linda Unruh (Pine), age 80, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, in
- Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
- Born on January 18, 1945, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Linda was the daughter
- of the late Harold and Evelyn Pine. She grew up in the Pocono region and graduated
- from Stroudsburg High School before pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse.
- She earned her RN degree from Abington Nursing School and went on to enjoy a long
- and fulfilling career as a registered nurse.
- Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose greatest joy came from
- spending time with her family and friends. She shared a loving marriage with her
- husband, Robert “Bob” Unruh, and together they built a life centered around love,
- laughter, and shared passions. Linda took immense pride in following the lives of her
- children and grandchildren—Karen Unruh and Rob Unruh (Cathy)—and delighted in
- supporting them through their many activities over the years. Whether cheering from the
- sidelines or celebrating milestones big and small, she was always present with
- unwavering encouragement.
- Her grandchildren, Robbie Unruh and Megan Unruh, held a special place in her heart.
- Linda cherished every moment spent watching them grow and enjoyed hearing about all
- of their adventures. Linda is also survived by her sister Ann Schantz (Dave).
- Beyond her family life and professional dedication to nursing, Linda found joy in simple
- pleasures. She was an avid fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams and especially loved
- watching Phillies games with Bob by her side—a pastime that brought them countless
- hours of enjoyment together.
- Linda’s warmth, dedication to others, and enduring love for her family leave behind a
- legacy that will be treasured by all who knew her.
- There is no service planned at this time. In lieu of flowers please donate to the National
