Linda S. Drake

Linda S. Drake, 68,of Stroud Township, passed away on October 23, 2018 at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Thomas W. Drake who passed February 3, 2018. Born November 22, 1949 in East Stroudsburg the daughter of the late Clarence L. and Stella N. (Oney) Plattenburg. She was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. Linda was a faithful and active member of the East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church. Linda is survived by her 2 sons, Thomas W. Drake, and his wife Savannah of Stroud Township, and Benjamin C. Drake of New York; her grandson Jase Drake. She is also survived by her sisters Sherry Crawford and Josephine Counterman of East Stroudsburg, and Carol Urban and her husband Fred of Tannersville, and many nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her brothers, Arthur J. “Butch” and Paul Plattenburg, and her sisters Janet Cramer, Lydia “Sis” Evans, and Stella “Skeeter” Plattenburg. Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 27, 2018 at 1:00pm at the East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church, 83 South Courtland Street, East Stroudsburg with Pastor Jim Todd officiating. Cremation will follow. There will be a viewing at church on Friday October 26, 2018 from 7:00pm until 8:30pm and also Saturday from 11:30am until the time of the services at church.
