Linda Lee Vamdermark

Linda Vandermark, a loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 47 on November 19, 2018, peacefully at home in East Stroudsburg, PA. Linda V was married to her caring husband Bruce Vandermark for twenty-eight years Born on March 4, 1971 in Chilton Hospital, Pompton Plains, New Jersey. She was a daughter of Linda (DeGroat) Kitchell and Terry Kitchell of Pennsylvania Linda was a very dedicated worker at East Stroudsburg University for the last eleven years. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with her friends and family, her favorite treat Dove chocolates and stealing all kinds of candy from her children, and spending her free time on Facebook making sure everyone was doing well. She had an uncanny ability to crack jokes with whoever and whenever and keep a positive mindset no matter what was happening. Her distinctful laugh and humor and her will forever be missed. In addition to her husband Bruce and her parents, Linda was the beloved mother of two daughters, Carol and Meagan, who loved her to pieces, brother John Akers of Missouri, sisters Nancy Akers of Connecticut, Martha Kennedy of Pennsylvania, She had nine nieces and nephews, two great nephews and one great niece and many friends. She was predeceased by her sister Pearl Jean. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 24, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Bensing Thomas Funeral Home,401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg with Pastor Patrick Hughes officiating. Cremation will follow. There will be viewings on Friday November 23 fro 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Saturday November 24 from 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
