Linda L Margretta

Linda L. Margretta, 70, of Stroudsburg passed away peacefully Sunday May 13th surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Frank J. Margretta with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born April 6, 1948 in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Grace Starner. She was a lifetime resident of Monroe County. Linda was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1336, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1106 the American Legion Post #346 and the VFW. Linda worked 30 years as a bartender inn Dover NJ; at Mack Printing in East Stroudsburg and retired after 30 years of being a manager at a local campground. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking enough for an army, playing bingo and vacationing in Florida. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother Bobby Starner and his wife Sherry of Stroudsburg; her son Andrew Margretta and Teri Fletcher of FL; daughter in law Denise Margretta of Effort, daughter Tanya Christensen and her husband Jeff of Reeders, Daughter Dawn Smith and her husband Ronnie of Stroudsburg, son Fred Margretta an his wife Paula of Scotrun, daughter Vicki Longyhore and her husband Erik of Mt Bethel. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Anna McMain, Louise Transue and Cathy Starner. Memorial funeral services will be held on Monday May 21, 2018 at 2:30pm the Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church, 915 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg, with Pastor Dana Antal officiating. There will be a visitation on Monday May 21, 2018 from 2:00pm until the time of the services at church The Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home, 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg is in charge of the arrangements.
