Linda Diane (Miller) Wolbert, 74, of East Stroudsburg, died peacefully at home as the sun rose surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 19, 2022. She was born on October 22, 1947, to the late Glenn G. Miller and Sylvia (Searle) Miller. She is survived by her beloved husband of almost 55 years, Arlington W. Wolbert of East Stroudsburg, whom she met when they were just 13 and 14 years old, respectively; daughter Wendy Sweigart (Christopher) of Harrisburg, PA; son Michael Wolbert (Sonia) of East Stroudsburg, and “daughter” - niece Kelly Gregory (Chuck) of Beach Lake, PA. She is also survived by her brother Terry Miller (Nina) of East Stroudsburg, Aunt Patricia Allcock (David) of Norfolk, England, cousins Jane Underwood (Dee) of Norfolk, England, Blair (Seobhan) Underwood of Edinburgh, Scotland, Jen Underwood, Edinburgh, Scotland; grandchildren Emily Wolbert of Philadelphia, Zack Wolbert of East Stroudsburg, Sydney Wolbert of East Stroudsburg, as well as many nieces and nephews, and great- nieces and nephews. Linda was a 1965 graduate of East Stroudsburg Area High School (South) and actively involved in organizing many class reunions. After high school, she was employed by Patterson Kelley and the American Heart Association. She then devoted her life to raising her children and babysitting. Once her children were old enough, she returned to work for several area credit unions, serving as treasurer of IBW Federal Credit Union, Line Material Federal Credit Union, and Pocono Medical Center Federal Credit Union. She served as a scout leader with Boy Scout Troop 81 of East Stroudsburg for two years, where she oversaw her son become an Eagle Scout. She later worked for Dr. Raymond DeCesare and Halterman’s Toyota. She also served as a notary public for more than 30 years. At home, she enjoyed gardening, reading historical romance novels, knitting, crochet, and bunnies. Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Bensing-Thomas Funeral Home at 401 North 5th Street, Stroudsburg preceded by visitation at 1pm. A reception will be held after the service at Dansbury Depot, 5 South Kistler Street, East Stroudsburg.
